Evan Nishizu
Mr. Nishizu is thrilled and honored to be a part of the UCLA Extension instructor network. He has been working in the construction industry Southern California since 2013.
Mr. Nishizu's career experiences include a comprehensive selection of markets and construction management workflows. Evan has successfully completed projects in mixed-use multi-family housing, parking structures, laboratory facilities, education facilities, health facilities, offices, and renovations in the Southern California area. He has had his hand in virtually all aspects of construction management including pre-construction & estimating, field coordination, cost management, schedule management, and design management.
Mr. Nishizu has completed his Master of Science in Civil Engineering: Structural Engineering and Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering: Building Science with a Minor degree in Architecture from the University of Southern California.
Approach to Teaching: The basis of coursework will be from hands on work evaluating an entire set of construction drawings and specifications. Students will be asked to develop questions to solve typical problems in reading the documents.
Expectations: Mr. Nishizu expects himself and students to be engaged with one another in a collaborative environment. Communication to be clear and concise to develop skills to efficiently and unambiguously interpret construction documents.
