About this course:

This class explores the open spaces between drawing and painting, representation and abstraction, proper art materials and improper art materials. By using traditional materials (such as acrylic, ink, and a variety of dry media), in non-traditional ways, students will find pictorial concerns with colors and spatial relationships rubbing elbows with newer procedures like automatism, collage, and the use of alternate supports. Risk and experimentation are critical to the process.
Prerequisites
X 5D Beginning Painting: Acrylics or X 5C Beginning Painting: Oils, or equivalent experience.
