Advanced Representation Before the IRS

Students will be provided a detailed analysis needed for an enrolled agent to represent a taxpayer. You will go through a meeting with the client and prepare for a mock presentation before the IRS.

About this course:
This interactive course teaches you how to interact in correspondence audits, examinations, collections, appeals and settlements at the District Counsel level. You will be provided a detailed analysis as well as illustrations of representing a taxpayer by an enrolled agent. You will also learn about the responsibilities, duties, censure and techniques of an enrolled agent when meeting a client and representing them before the IRS. The exam, collection and appeal processes, and administrative remedies will also be studied. You will also be provided suggestions on how to protect yourself as a preparer from a client's malpractice law suit.Corporate Education
