About This Course
Logic Pro combines everything you need for professional music creation in a single, intuitive platform—composition, MIDI sequencing, live performance, sampling, and studio-quality audio production. Whether you're a songwriter crafting original tracks, a composer building cinematic scores, or a producer looking to refine your workflow, this course gives you a practical, hands-on introduction to everything Logic Pro can do. Using your own Mac, you’ll be guided through the full song-making process—from your first recording and MIDI arrangement to final mixing and export. You’ll learn how to program realistic drums with Virtual Drummer, edit audio using Flex Time, Pitch, and Smart Tempo, create dynamic MIDI performances with Apple Loops and Live Loops, and shape your sound with digital effects, automation, and real-time plug-ins. The course also covers tools like Step Sequencer, Remix FX, Logic Remote integration with iPhone/iPad, and the latest AI-powered features in Logic Pro 11, such as Session Players and automatic mastering assistance. Whether you're just starting out or transitioning from another DAW, this course equips you with the skills and confidence to turn your musical ideas into polished productions.
Basic computer skills and a general understanding of audio technology are required. Students must have access to a Mac computer with at least 15 GB of free space, a power adapter, and Logic Pro (version 10.5 or later; version 11 recommended, installed and fully updated).
