About this course:
This course is designed to equip emerging and advancing leaders with the knowledge and skills to develop their emotional intelligence (EQ). Emotional intelligence is the ability to understand, use, and manage your own emotions in positive ways to achieve your goals and to effectively relate to others. Leaders with high EQ are better able to build trust, motivate teams, navigate conflict, and create a positive work environment. In this course you will define emotional intelligence and its core components, identify your own emotional strengths and weaknesses, improve self-awareness and self-regulation, develop strategies for managing emotions effectively, enhance empathy and social skills and foster a more emotionally intelligent workplace culture. This course will be a blend of interactive lectures, discussions, group activities, and self-reflection exercises. Participants will have the opportunity to learn from the instructor, each other, and real-world case studies.
