About this course:
The third in a four-part sequence in writing a feature film screenplay, this course focuses on writing a significant portion of Act II. You also refine your story outline; flesh out main and secondary characters; continue to develop the art of the scene as it pertains to type, choice, structure and placement; and begin to discover each character's unique voice. You learn the habits you need to sustain the work of writing a screenplay. The goal is to write anywhere from 3-5 pages per week from beginning of Act II. May be repeated for credit.
Prerequisites
SCRIPT X 410.1 Feature Film I and SCRIPT X 410.2 Feature Film II. Students must bring their beat sheets or treatments and Act I to the first class meeting and be prepared to write.

This online course is conducted through Canvas, a secure website that allows students to log in to access lectures, discussions, and other course materials on demand. There are no required live class meetings. Each course is structured with weekly assignments and deadlines. Lectures and coursework are accessible throughout the week. Workshops are conducted in writing via discussion boards with your instructor and classmates.
