Leadership Through the Jazz Paradigm

In this course, we explore how leadership, collaboration, and innovation unfold in the jazz world – and how these same principles can be applied to elevate performance and relationships in everyday life. By examining the dynamics of a jazz ensemble, we gain insights into building stronger partnerships and coalitions in the workplace, as well as fostering effective communication and cooperation among spouses, partners, children, and extended families. Our goal is to translate the improvisational, interactive nature of jazz into practical strategies for leading with clarity, flexibility, and empathy both professionally and personally. This course will be recorded. Students will have access to the video for 30 days.
