About This Course
Julia Morgan, the first woman to earn an architect's license in California, was a prolific designer of hundreds of buildings. She worked for nearly 30 years on Hearst Castle, supervising nearly every aspect of construction and design, as well as completing more than 700 buildings over her decades-long career. In this course, we look at her later years at Hearst Castle, her other work for W.R. Hearst, her continued work with the YWCA, and some of her other varied projects. This course uses the Hybrid format which allows students to participate remotely and/or in the classroom. This course will be recorded. Students will have access to videos for 30 days.
