Kristin Juel is the founder of Juel Concepts, an incubator and music marketing/management firm for independent artists like Melbourne’s Hamish Anderson, Atlanta’s Ruby Velle & The Soulphonics, LA's Grammy Nominated Songwriter Shelly Peiken, Minneapolis’ Colin Bracewell and NYC’s Justy. Kristin encourages artists to know their worth and keep their focus while preparing them for music's data driven industry. Prior to starting Juel Concepts, Kristin spent 25 years as a brand engagement specialist and agency veteran who helped lead the creative strategy at Cliff Freeman and Partners on Church’s Chicken (winner of a Cannes Lion Bronze in 2000). From 2005-2013, Kristin Juel developed Kaiser Permanente’s Thrive campaign, including building a business case for use of music.
Additionally, Juel was a Senior Analyst with Water & Music with a focus on AI music, web 3, and music in the metaverse. She is also an advisor to several startups, including Stvd.io Space and the NVAK Collective. Kristin serves as a Governor on the Recording Academy’s LA Chapter Board (2025-2027); LAC’s Professional Development committee (2024), and is an Advisory board member of the Hollywood Independent Music Awards. She prioritizes mentorship with both Grammy U and Live Nation’s Music Forward Foundation.
Lastly, while her team is global, Kristin resides in Los Angeles, where she is not only the host of the web-series and podcast Uncut Juels, but also an avid member of the live-music-rocks- any-night-of-the-week club.
