Danny Tolli

Instructor Biography:

TV writer and co-executive producer who hails from Queens, NY. Mr. Tolli has written and produced episodes of Roswell NM (The CW), The Catch (Shondaland/ABC), and Stalker (CBS). He has developed new series with CBS Studios, Netflix, FX, 20th Television, Searchlight TV, and Freeform. Additionally, Mr. Tolli serves on the Writers Guild of America West’s Board of Directors, is a member of the WGAW Latinx & LGBTQ+ Committees, and is an envoy for the US State Department’s American Film Showcase. He is a graduate of NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts, the National Hispanic Media Coalition Screenwriting Fellowship, and the prestigious WGAW Showrunner Training Program.

Instructor Statement:

Everyone has a story to tell. A good one begins with a yearning to say something that incites, provokes, enriches, and entertains. But how do you move past that daunting first page? As an instructor, I’ll give you the tools necessary to construct a good story from beginning to end while staying true to your voice and vision. Teaching you the methods learned from the showrunners I’ve had the pleasure of working with, I’ll teach you how to integrate these skills and techniques into your processes as well.
