Hello, my name is Brenda Forde and I will be facilitating this course. I hold a Master of Business Administration from Arizona State University and a Bachelor of Science (concentrations in Accounting and Finance) from Wayne State College. I am a certified public accountant in the state of Arizona and have held several interesting positions in the banking industry and more recently was a Vice President for American Express. I have led and managed a number of financial teams including; a loan servicing center, domestic and international accounting, budgeting/forecasting, global balance sheet integrity, and financial system integrity implementations. I started my career out of college in auditing, which is a great place to break into the accounting field. I thoroughly enjoy teaching and look forward to working with each of you. In particular, I enjoy sharing and relating the course material to real life situations which helps to bring the material alive and assists in applying the material at work. Over the years, I have taught various accounting, finance, management and economics classes. On a personal note, I have a twenty-year-old son who is currently pursuing a degree. I enjoy hiking, biking, running, lifting weights, reading, spending time on a beach. My husband and I also love to travel.
