Alex Cote

LA based composer whose music has found a home in many of pop culture’s favorite franchises. Both individually and as a co-composer with Sparks & Shadows (Bear McCreary’s studio), Côté has composed music for Disney+’s, Percy Jackson & The Olympians, Showtime’s Halo series, Activison’s Call Of Duty: Vanguard, and more.

 

In addition, Côté has composed scores to the TV romcoms A Recipe For Joy, Fishing For Love, and Valentine’s Town, and has contributed additional music for Bear McCreary and Mark Isham, including Netflix’s The Witcher, Blood Origin, Netflix’s We Have A Ghost, the third season of Apple TV’s See, the upcoming horror film The Haunting In Wicker Park, and is currently working on an indie film and web series. 

Previously, Côté served as executive producer and composer for the game audio company Somatone Interactive, working on over 90 mobile titles across all genres, including original music for WB Games’ Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery and Harry Potter, Wizard’s Unite. 

Côté received a dual degree from Berklee College Of Music, graduating top of his class, and began his career working as an assistant, studying under BAFTA-winner Abel Korzeniowski (Nocturnal Animals, The Nun, Till). Since then, Côté was selected as a fellow for the 2021 Los Angeles Film Conducting Intensive, and in 2023 was honored to participate as a fellow in the first ever Composer Filmmaker Accelerator at the Vancouver International Film Festival.
