Join us for An Evening with Dina LaPolt, as we celebrate the launch of her bold new book, Street Smart: Succeeding in a Man’s World, a continuation of UCLA Extension’s Entertainment Speaker Series in our new UCLA Downtown space.

A trailblazing music attorney, fierce activist for artists' rights, and former UCLA Extension instructor (2002–2019), Dina LaPolt spent nearly two decades shaping the next generation of music industry professionals through her acclaimed course, Legal and Practical Aspects of the Music Industry. While mentoring students, she built a powerhouse career representing global superstars and driving landmark legislation like the Music Modernization Act—a journey she now shares with grit, humor, and hard-earned wisdom in her new book.

In this special event, Dina will offer candid insights from her remarkable path, explore the lessons behind her success in male-dominated industries, and inspire attendees to claim their own power with confidence and authenticity. The evening will include a lively conversation with UCLA Extension Alum and Chief Media Officer of LaPolt Media, Samantha Gayle Bullock. A networking reception, and a book signing will follow.
