Applicants of this program are required to submit the following:

  • Bachelor's degree official transcripts
  • English language proficiency (minimum) scores for non-native English speakers, if English is not the primary language of the country in which you have obtained your bachelor's degree:
    • TOEFL iBT: 85
      IELTS Academic: 6.5 overall
      DuoLingo: 55
Note: Students who earned their Bachelor's degree from a university located in a country in which English is the primary language are not required to submit English language proficiency scores. 

Required Courses

Students are encouraged to first complete EDUC 825. Students must pass all four core courses with a C or better to be eligible for the TESOL Practicum Portfolio course.

TESOL Practicum Portfolio

The TESOL Practicum Portfolio is the capstone course for the TESOL certificate. Students compile a digital portfolio, including signature assignments, philosophy of teaching, and teaching videos.
