About This Course

Tattooing is one of the oldest forms of human self-expression and continues to evolve as a sophisticated fine art form. This course introduces tattoo as a visual language, exploring its cultural history, symbolism, and connection to the human body. Students examine cross-cultural traditions and apply these insights to contemporary design. Weekly workshops and guided exercises help students develop technical and conceptual skills through drawing, composition, iconography, and body-aware design. Materials include pencils, markers, stencil tools, and other tattoo-related supplies. No prior tattoo experience is required. Open to beginning and intermediate students, as well as visual artists interested in exploring tattoo as a narrative medium and contemporary fine art discipline
