This course presents an examination of the styles and techniques of iconic photographers, and how to shoot in their styles using contemporary tools and techniques.

- Explore different perspectives and voices in photography
- Increase your knowledge of photography with regards to aesthetics, photo, lighting and digital imaging techniques
- Study and take inspiration from the work of Edward Weston, Diane Arbus, Julia Margaret Cameron, Richard Avedon, and many more
About this course:
This course presents an examination of the styles and techniques of iconic photographers and how to shoot in their styles using contemporary tools and techniques. Lectures will cover the history of these artists, what made their work distinctive, and how their work related to their historical period. Students produce their own photographs in the style of these photographers. At the end of the class they will have a portfolio of new images. In addition to assignments, classes will include lectures, discussions and demonstrations.
