Instructor Bio:

Screenwriter and WGA member, who has written TV movies for Lifetime and Hallmark such as Christmas in the Air and Love, Of Course, along with a host of TV drama series. Ms. King's film and TV credits also include kids animation like Dragon Tales and the Wacky Races reboot. She has developed and consulted for CBS, Disney and WB and is the author of The Seasonaires, optioned for TV by Blumhouse. In addition, she has written and directed plays and award-winning short films.

Instructor Statement:

I love words. I love writing them, reading them and seeing them come to life on screen. I believe that if you love words, you have every opportunity to succeed as a writer. Creative passion is the most important element and I am extremely enthusiastic when a writer embraces self-expression. However, for film and television, creative passion requires structure. My hope is to encourage your singular voice and vision while helping provide you with the tools to craft a well-built screenplay or TV script. First and foremost, you should feel gratified by your final product and my goal is to help you get there with material that is unique, compelling and skillfully executed.
